How to care for things with machine embroidery?
The key advantages of machine embroidery are durability and easy care. There are only a few rules that owners of such clothes should keep in mind.
1. Turn embroidered clothes inside out before washing
This is necessary to prevent the embroidery from deforming. You can choose hand washing or one of the washing machine programs, but it is important that in both cases the water temperature does not exceed 40 °C.
2. When ironing, make sure to turn on the steam and turn the garment inside out.
You can also iron a T-shirt or hoodie through a thin fabric - this will be enough to protect the embroidery from the heated iron soleplate. If the embroidery is made with metallized threads, set the iron to the lowest temperature.
3. When choosing a washing mode, be guided by the type of fabric
The delicate and hand wash modes, as well as any other with a temperature of 30...40 °C, are ideal. It is better to rinse embroidered items at low drum speeds. Almost any fabric with machine embroidery can be washed at home, the only exception is velvet, which is best left to dry cleaners.
4. If you wash by hand, do it delicately
Keep in mind the peculiarities of viscose threads: when they absorb moisture, they temporarily lose some of their strength. Therefore, do not rub the fabric too hard, even in case of serious dirt, and then twist it roughly, otherwise you may deform the embroidery. After the viscose dries, it will become strong again.
5. Choose a detergent for colored laundry
It is better to avoid detergents with aggressive chemical additives, as well as fluorescent bleach.
6. Dry your clothes in the usual way
If the T-shirt seems “tight” in the place of embroidery when wet, don't panic. The garment is not damaged - after it is completely dry and ironed, it will return to its original shape.
7. If something goes wrong, revive the garment
Even if you have mistakenly chosen a high temperature or the wrong mode when washing or ironing and the embroidery has pulled the fabric, you will have the opportunity to fix it. Leave the garment in warm water (30...40 °C) for half an hour, then wring it out a little, lay it out on a terry towel, and roll it up. After 10 minutes, turn the T-shirt inside out and iron the embroidery.
By following these simple tips, you can extend the life of your favorite embroidered items. High-quality viscose threads used in Embroshop clothes do not lose their color in the sun and do not fade even with frequent washing.
